A beautiful tree renowned for its bright golden pinnate leaves throughout the summer. Young twigs are bright brown and have striking wine-red thorns that later turn brown. Pendent clusters of small fragrant pea-like white flowers in mid-summer.
Hardy in most places throughout the UK even in severe winters. May not withstand open/exposed sites or central/northern locations.
