An apple tree known for sweetness and late-season harvest
The Christmas Pippin Apple Tree is a variety valued for its flavour and dependable cropping. It produces red apples with a naturally sweet, honeyed taste, ready to harvest as the season begins to turn.
Once established, it settles into the garden with ease, offering blossom in spring and a steady harvest into early autumn. A tree that brings both enjoyment and consistency over time.
Who this tree is for
This suits those looking for a reliable eating apple with strong flavour. It works well in gardens where there is space to grow fruit, and is a good option for anyone who enjoys apples picked fresh from the tree.
It is often chosen for its balance of quality and productivity, offering both ornamental value and a useful harvest.
Choosing the right rootstock
This tree is available on two rootstocks, allowing you to match its size to your space.
- M26 – A semi-dwarfing option, well suited to most gardens. It offers a manageable size while still producing a good crop.
- MM106 – A more vigorous rootstock, better suited to larger gardens where the tree has space to develop more fully over time.
If space is limited, M26 is usually the more practical choice. MM106 allows for a larger, more traditional tree.
A reliable and flavourful variety
The fruit is known for its sweet, honeyed flavour and crisp texture, making it well suited to eating fresh. It is also a heavy cropper, producing consistent yields in UK conditions.
In spring, the tree produces blossom across the branches, followed by fruit that develops through the warmer months and is ready to harvest in early October.
Delivery and ordering
Each tree is prepared to order by our specialist growers and is usually dispatched within 7 days. You can also choose a future delivery date if you are planning ahead.
This tree is supplied in its nursery pot and does not include traditional gift wrap. A personal message can be added to your order if required.
