Also known as 'Harry Lauder's Walking Stick', the Corkscrew hazel makes a great gift with a twist.... see what we did there?
The Corkscrew Hazel is an interesting tree, with its crazy, contorted branches it makes a great feature in the garden. The yellow flowers appear in spring, followed by the dark green leaves in early summer. The later autumn yellow leaves add a splash of colour to the garden but we think the tree looks at its best when it has no leaves and you get to see the twists and turns of each branch.
The edible hazelnuts appear in late October but you will have to beat your garden friends if you want to feast on them. The yellow catkins also appear in winter and the tree looks stunning with a covering of frost. The Corkscrew Hazel branches are great for table displays or flower arrangements.
- Larger trees make a real impression in their own unique pots and planters, as such they do not arrive with traditional gift wrap
