New Year... New Us?

This year, everyone at Tree Towers is trying to stick to a New Years resolution. To make the process a little more interesting, we (the more competitive members of the team) have decided to turn this into a bit of game.. We have agreed to be 100% truthful, so let's see how well everyone is getting on.

Warning: marks out of 10 will be awarded!

Richard, Operations Manager

What is your New Years Resolution?
'Eat healthier! I know a lot of people say it, but I was so busy in the run up to Christmas that I ate far too many takeaways.'
Achievements over the past fortnight?
'I have really been trying to get dinner prep started the night before, so I don't decide on the spur of the moment that I am too hungry and tired to bother cooking. The slow cooker is a great little cheat as well. I leave mine on all day and dinner is cooked by the time I get home.'
Any confessions?
'I may have contacted my friends at the local chippy once this week. Im sorry! I couldn't resist my Thursday night fish and chips.'
What can you do to improve over the rest of the month?
"Next week I plan to try and eat healthier lunches as well as dinners. I have bought some lovely fresh soups so I wont be tempted in the staff canteen.'

Score: 7/10.

Camille, Customer Services and Sales Assistant

So what is your New Years Resolution?
'So this year I am doing drum roll please Dry January. Gulp. I drank every day for two weeks over Christmas, so now I am going cold turkey.'
Achievements over the past fortnight?
"Not a drop of alcohol has passed my lips since New Years Eve. I can hardly believe it myself! The hardest part was last weekend, as I went out for a friends birthday, but I stayed away from the wine and drank iced coffee instead."
Any confessions?
"I know I sound like a goody two shoes, but I don't have any. My conscience is clean!"
What can you do to improve over the next fortnight?
"Cutting out alcohol has made my intake of caffeine and sugar soar, as I am substituting it for iced coffee, fruit juice and diet coke. I need to keep a close eye on this to make sure I'm not undoing all the benefit!"

Score 8/10

David, Field Sales and Marketing Manager

What is your New Years Resolution?
'This may sound slightly odd, but over the next year, I would like to spend more time at my desk! My job requires quite a lot if travel, but its also important for me to keep abreast of what is going on in the heart of the business. Oh, I also really need get my car cleaned more frequently!'
Achievements over the past fortnight?
"Its fair to say that I have got off to a bumpy start with this one, as I had a lot of post Christmas meetings scheduled in already."
Any confessions?
"I have spent more days out of the office this fortnight than in it!"
What Can you do to Improve over the next fortnight?
"Hopefully, as long as nothing comes up last minute, the next two weeks should be plain sailing. So all I need to do is stick to the plan. My incentive for this is that they always have nice biscuits at Tree Towers."
