Just want to let you all know, if you haven’t heard about it already, we at Tree2mydoor are running our annual poetry competition at the moment (you too can enter by visiting our valentines day poetry competition page). We’ve already had some good ones this year so far...sheesh competition is really getting going and I’ve got a few personal favourites already.
If you haven’t heard about the valentines competition yet: Every year tree2mydoor opens up the Valentine’s Day competition to the public and challenge you to send in your funniest/sloppiest/cutest poems about valentines for the chance to win £100 worth of Tree2mydoor vouchers. And don’t worry, if your poetry skills are more like you’ve had 20 beers than you write like Will Shakespeare then you can still win; we’ve lots of prizes to win.... Just have a look at our Valentine’s poetry competition page and get all the details on there.
But for now, let me leave you with a few choice snippets that we’ve had in from you so far:
From Carla Morris:
“You make my heart turn to jelly
though sometimes your bum is a little smelly.”
From Julie Al-Zoubi:
“I pondered for a little while,
To find a tree that would make you smile.
Fragrant, fruity large or small,
Tree2mydoor had them all.”
From Carol Littlehales:
“For our 3rd Vally day ooh what did we do?
Nothing cos you spent it in bed with man flu
For our 4th Valentine you took me away
But the weather was awful, it rained all day”
We’ve had loads of great poems so far. Go and check out this year’s entrants on our Valentine’s 2011 page. And if you think you can do better, then make sure you enter for a chance to win £100 worth of tree2mydoor vouchers to spend on your Valentine.
