First things first, if you haven't already seen it have a look at our Bramley Apple Tree competition and you could win your own Apple Tree

Yes, it’s Apple Season! We are all really excited at Tree2mydoor because all those lovely apples are nearly ready for picking, if not already ripe and that means plenty of apple pies, apple crumbles, apple sauce, straights apples, cider making all from your apple trees.

And what’s more we have able bobbing to do, helping pick apples for our friends at The Moss Cider Project and recipes galore. So much to do!

For those of you who don’t know, it is the official apple day this Friday 21st of October. Apple Day is now over 20 years old and was originally started in 1990 to celebrate the wonderful array of apple varieties that we have in this country. There are apple days held all over the country this Friday, and at many you can get help identify a particular apple type that you have, there are so many varieties we don’t want to let some slip away.

If you want to get in on the apple tree love, then you can buy an apple tree online with us today. There are plenty to choose from and you may already know what the varieties taste like, but if you’re not sure and want some help choosing the right apple tree gift, then you can ask us on here, the tree2mydoor Facebook page, or alternatively ask us on twitter @tree2mydoor.

Have a search for apple days near you and go along if you fancy it, it’s always good to befriend apple lovers anyway (*cough possibility of free apples, or apple pie tasting sessions?).

And for good luck, here is our Kirsten’s very own apple crumble recipe for you all :)
