A LARNE man’s environmentally friendly solution to the problem of finding the right present has won him a national Gift of the Year award. Gareth Mitchell runs Tree2mydoor.com, an Internet company which offers a range of UK-grown tree and wildflower gifts as alternatives to giving cut flowers. He runs his business from Manchester, but is hoping to get financial backing from Invest N I to open a nursery in the east Antrim area next year. Tree2mydoor entered the awards with its ‘Ancient Wisdom’ tree gift range which centres on tree species native to the British Isles.
